Teapots
A teapot is a pot for boiling water for tea (or other infusions) by directly applying heat. This is also the same pot used to serve the drink into mugs or cups. Teapots usually come in metal, porcelain, ceramic, clay, glass, cast iron...and come with a lid and usually with a filter to steep tea.
In this type of recipient we add tea leaves or teabags once the water starts boiling, after the teapot is removed from the heat. Our catalogue includes several teapot types, materials, colours and heaters...Usually we use the word teapots but we must remember that it can work with any type of herbal infusion, not just tea, even though they´re called teapots and not " herbal infusion-pot" for example.
IBILI Kitchenware´s main collections are Kristall, Oriental and Prisma. The Kristall teapots, as the name suggests, are made in glass and stainless steel. They come with a stainless steel filter that allows for a perfect filter for tea leaves or any other herbal infusion. Glass teapots are microwave friendly, as long as you remove the stainless steel filter or any other stainless steel accessory which must not be microwaved. Furthermore we have a cast iron teapots line, Oriental, which are ideal for making tea, and even just for decoration. Coming in different colours, designs and textures, these are our customer´s favourites All of them are in an oriental-asian style. As you know, drinking tea is an intrinsic part of Asian culture, and is deeply rooted throughout the continent, even though now it is also popular around the world. There are several Chinese proverbs that attribute numerous curative properties to these infusions.
Very pure white tea has polyphenols with anti-oxidizing action, improving defences, helping reduce cholesterol and acting as a natural diuretic. Green tea is rich in vitamins and minerals, and high in anti-oxidants; it prevents high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease, stimulates metabolism and delays the appearance of degenerative diseases. Black tea has high amounts of theine (caffeine) giving it stimulating properties; it also benefits the cardiovascular system and has depurative and diuretic functions. Finally, red tea is beneficial for the digestive system, inhibits the release of histamines, raises metabolism and relieves allergies.
Finally, the Prisma teapots are our classic pots. These teapots are also known as kettles. They are made in stainless steel. In this case it is not 18/10 stainless steel.
